Firstly we offer a vast range of Eco-Smart accessories, they largely mimic our existing line of POLY PTX Wheels, such as the Fleece, Mix & Flap wheels. The Eco-Smart adapter is required to mount these wheels onto the POLY PTX machine (or other burnishers that have a 100mm double splined shaft). These wheels also come in a variety of widths: 50mm, 100mm and 150mm.
As stated earlier the Eco-Smart adapter needs to be used to attach the wheels onto the POLY PTX machine, we have prepared an infographic below which shows the steps.
There are many benefits of the Eco-Smart abrasive range:
1) These are the only wheels that can go up to 150mm wide, this means large workpieces can be completed much faster.
2) Wheels can be placed at any point along the adapter – this is especially useful for 50mm wheels it can be either placed close to the machine or at the end of the machine to accomodate the workpiece (no spacers!).
3) Due to the adapter being rubberised, it provides especially smooth transitions and limits any vibrations making a perfect finish even easier to attain.
4) The wheels are cheaper than their non-Eco-Smart counterpart, saving money.

You can put a small pea size amount of silicon lubricant on the wheel to make it easier to take the adapter on and off the POLY PTX shaft.
